Service boundaries
- QR Code Crafter provides tools for generating static QR codes, previewing them, applying basic styling, and exporting production files. It does not provide hosted dynamic redirects, scan dashboards, customer accounts, or campaign reporting for downloaded static codes.
- A static QR code encodes the payload supplied at creation time. If the destination URL, contact detail, payment identifier, Wi-Fi credential, event detail, or document link changes after publication, you are responsible for generating and distributing a replacement code.
- Payment QR codes encode payment instructions for the relevant banking or wallet app. QR Code Crafter does not authorize payments, confirm settlement, hold funds, provide receipts, or reconcile payment activity.
- File-format exports are intended to support design and print handoff, but you remain responsible for checking the final artwork, physical proof, placement, contrast, quiet zone, and scan distance before public distribution.
- API, WebMCP, OpenAPI, ai.txt, llms.txt, and agent workflows must follow the same responsible-use rules as the browser generators, including lawful content, safe destinations, and final scan testing.
- The service may change over time to improve reliability, security, accessibility, localization, agent usability, and content quality while preserving the core static QR code workflow.
3. User Responsibilities
- You agree to use the service legally and responsibly
- You will not generate QR codes for malicious purposes
- You will not attempt to disrupt or abuse the service
Publishing responsibilities
- Verify that every encoded URL, phone number, payment identifier, address, event detail, document link, social profile, or contact card is accurate before downloading, embedding, or printing.
- Use clear nearby text so scanners understand whether they will open a web page, join Wi-Fi, start a message, save a contact, download a file, launch a map, or open a payment app.
- Keep an internal record of the owner, destination, export format, publication location, test devices, publication date, review date, and removal conditions for long-lived QR codes.
- Do not generate QR codes for malware, phishing, impersonation, deceptive payment requests, unauthorized personal data, illegal content, or activity that would damage scanner trust.
- Retire or replace printed QR codes when a destination is no longer controlled, secure, accessible, accurate, compliant, or suitable for the audience that can scan it.
- For regulated, financial, healthcare, education, or customer-data workflows, review your own compliance obligations before publishing the QR code in public materials.
4. Intellectual Property
The QR codes you generate are yours to use. Our service, including its design and functionality, is protected by intellectual property laws and is owned by Brand Aspect Ltd.
