No. It checks only a limited mainnet address shape before encoding. Verify the complete address in the intended receiving wallet and confirm who controls it.

Can the QR request a BTC amount?

Yes. Enter a positive decimal BTC amount with up to eight decimal places. A payer wallet may allow the payer to edit or reject that requested amount.

Does creating or scanning the QR confirm a Bitcoin payment?

No. QR generation and scanning do not send funds or confirm a transaction. Review the wallet approval screen, then verify the transaction and confirmations separately.
