Privacy Policy
Understand how QR Code Crafter collects, uses, and protects the limited data required to power the service.
Privacy Policy

Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Brand Aspect Ltd ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our QR Code Crafter service.
Privacy commitments
- QR Code Crafter is built around static QR code files rather than hosted redirect links, so downloaded QR codes are not dependent on a scan-tracking dashboard or account login.
- Generated QR payloads are not used to build advertising audiences, retarget visitors, identify individual QR scans, or sell destination data to third parties.
- Production analytics are used to understand aggregate website performance, broken journeys, content quality, referrers, browser metadata, page views, link clicks, and form submissions.
- Ahrefs Analytics is loaded only on the production QR Code Crafter domain and is not loaded when supported privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are present.
- If a QR code points to a third-party website, payment app, map, file host, app store, social network, or document platform, that destination applies its own privacy and security practices.
- Feedback and support messages are treated as voluntary contact requests and should not include passwords, private keys, payment secrets, medical information, or confidential customer data.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal information to provide our service:
- QR code content you generate
- Basic usage analytics
- Feedback you choose to provide
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Generate QR codes
- Improve our service
- Respond to your feedback
- Fix technical issues
Data Security
We take data security seriously. Your QR code data is processed in your browser and is not stored on our servers unless you use a server-side API or submit feedback.
When you create a dynamic QR code, QR Code Crafter stores its destination URL, optional label, status, timestamps, and a one-way hash of the management capability. The raw management capability is shown once and must be kept private. Optional dynamic QR analytics is disabled by default. If enabled, it stores only privacy-preserving approximate aggregate redirect counts: the QR slug, a lifetime total, up to 90 daily UTC buckets, timestamps, and a schema version. Daily buckets are retained for up to 90 days. It does not store IP addresses, user agents, referrers, cookies, location, device or browser data, destination URLs, management capabilities, or unique visitor identifiers.
You can permanently delete the stored dynamic QR record with its private management link. Deletion is irreversible and the public redirect will stop working.

Practical data handling
- Browser generators should be treated as local editing tools for URLs, Wi-Fi details, contact cards, messages, events, locations, payment instructions, and other static QR payloads.
- Server-side API generation processes the submitted payload only to create the requested QR code response, return the chosen format, and support operational troubleshooting where required.
- Downloaded SVG, PDF, EPS, PNG, JPG, and WebP files are controlled by you after export, including storage, distribution, print placement, accessibility labels, and future review.
- Public campaigns should use HTTPS destinations that you control, clear surrounding text, a fallback URL or instruction where appropriate, and a documented owner before going to print.
- Sensitive data should not be encoded directly into public QR codes unless you have a lawful basis, an access-control layer at the destination, and a plan for rotation or removal.
- For UTM and analytics workflows, QR Code Crafter helps prepare tagged URLs, but reporting remains inside your own analytics tools or redirect infrastructure.
Site analytics
We use Ahrefs Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, broken journeys, referrers, browser metadata, page views, link clicks, and form submissions. Ahrefs Analytics is loaded only on the production QR Code Crafter domain and is not loaded when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals. We do not use Ahrefs Analytics to store QR code payloads, identify individual QR scans, build advertising profiles, or retarget you across other websites.
